ABOUT THE ROLE
As a key member of the IT infrastructure team within a dynamic and growing organization, you will be primarily responsible for supporting and evolving a state of the art, secured and efficient IT infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with the Development, Security and End User Computing Support teams and interact with various internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be a subject matter expert, expected to mentor your peers and report to management regarding the infrastructure you will manage.
The Specialist’s primary responsibilities include:
- Design, Architect, Implement and support Windows infrastructure solutions in the Azure cloud.
- Manage and maintain a 24x7x365 Microsoft cloud hosted infrastructures (Patch management, backup...).
- Install and maintain servers and related software.
- Resolve issues in a timely manner and take necessary steps to prevent future occurrences.
- Analyze and improve system performance and stability.
- Create and update technical/procedural documentation.
- Develop your technical knowledge, bring innovative ideas, and collaborate with other departments on joint projects.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Desired seniority level: mid-senior level (minimum 5 years of relevant experience).
- Extensive hands-on experience in managing Microsoft Azure and Servers across multiple regions (minimum 4-5 years).
- Robust experience as a System Administrator in a large-scale production environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows, Web server administration (IIS) and Azure networking.
- Good knowledge of IaC “Infrastructure as code” such as PowerShell, Terraform and Bicep.
- Knowledge in Office 365 and Endpoint management (Intune).
- Experience with Active Directory management.
- Resourceful with a proven ability to work autonomously and to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and harmoniously as part of a team.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English given the international nature of the work. French working proficiency is considered an asset.
