We are recruiting for a Head of Global Tax Documentation to join our Taxation Team in Wrocław, Poland.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Tax Operations & Services,
- Taking care of Tax Documentation and Reporting,
Research on event taxability, - Tax Withholding on US Corporate Events.
The Manager ensures that company strategy is executed, the team is effective and possesses sufficient knowledge, the daily operational tasks and issues, related to regulatory tax data gathering and reporting, are executed accurately and timely. S/he understands the rules, processes and specific procedures around regulatory reporting, with the support of a legal and/or tax service expert. Dealing indirectly with client questions about the regulatory rules, including replying to all types of technical questions.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Must have tax/financial services experience, minimum of 10 years
Tax documentation experience preferred (global markets/US markets)
Experience of managing people requires minimum 5 years. - Experience of working with senior stakeholders at C level
Fluent English Tax background within financial services (WHT Global Tax Documentation, Tax reclaims tec). - Possess strong analytical skills and be organised, due to many regulations and spreadsheets/systems, creating reports) and as a part of a team (working with project management and Tax SME on new developments in the regulations)
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge (to work with many different spreadsheets that are used for tracking purposes). Knowledge of Access is an asset.
- Must be PC oriented and create customised client and regulators reports, following a strict plan of reporting deadlines.
- Must be control-oriented and possess analytical skills with the ability to observe a process, identify inefficiencies and propose enhancements and alternatives to improve overall operations.
- For regulatory reporting it is of the highest importance to be accurate, complete, and timely. Any problem that would occur in the process, has to be solved and/or escalated immediately so a solution can be found prior to the deadline (extension of deadline is not allowed).
