Benefit Street Partners Real Estate division is seeking a Finance Associate. The candidate will be a key member of the Finance and Operations team and will have frequent interactions with all teams within the firm.

What is the team responsible for?

BSP’s real estate strategy focuses on originating and managing commercial mortgage loans across the country and in all segments of the market. BSP’s dedicated real estate team consists of over 80 professionals with origination and underwriting capabilities that enable it to generate proprietary deal flow.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of a BSP-CRE FP&A Analyst?

  • Maintain our internal systems by uploading transaction data and csv files
  • Perform regular data reconciliations to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information
  • Troubleshoot data upload errors and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline data entry and reporting processes
  • Assist in generating reports and supporting audits as needed
  • Support creation of reports in BI

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Extreme attention to detail is required.
  • Experience working with large amount of data
  • Experience with Yardi, iLevel and/or other portfolio monitoring platforms is a plus
  • Experience in the Financial Services and/or Real Estate industry is a plus
  • Accounting/Finance Major – Bachelors or higher
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills required
