The Indirect Tax Team at PwC consists of over 100 experienced experts in goods and services tax, customs, excise, and environmental taxes. We undertake projects related to, among other things, trade in goods, implementation of e-invoicing, real estate transactions, ESG, and structuring local government investments. We collaborate with domestic and international clients, providing services from 6 offices across Poland (Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, Katowice, Poznań, and Gdańsk). 

We are looking for:  

Consultant in the Indirect Tax Team (VAT) 

Your future role:  

  • Preparing VAT compliance projects and VAT return corrections,  
  • Participating in other VAT compliance projects: VAT registrations, regularizations, VAT reviews,  
  • Implementing projects outside the VAT compliance area: Intrastat reporting, BDO, real estate tax, other projects requiring data analysis,  
  • Preparing correspondence to clients and short letters to tax authorities,  
  • Analyzing regulations, interpretations, and case law to assess the tax and regulatory implications of specific transactions with the support of more experienced employees.  

Apply if you have:  

  • 1-2 years of experience in tax advisory/tax department, particularly in indirect taxes or accounting,
  • Ability to speak Polish and English,
  • Ability to work according to established processes and to complete tasks based on prepared instructions,
  • Willingness to perform new tasks and desire to gain experience in projects outside the VAT area,
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data, draw conclusions, identify problems and actively seek solutions,
  • Ability to correctly and logically formulate correspondence to clients and letters in Polish and English,
  • University degree or are currently studying (e.g., Finance and Accounting, Law)
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and effectively communicate with clients and colleagues,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.

Nice to have:  

  • Knowledge of VAT settlement processes abroad and/or experience working in other taxes,
  • Experience in accounting or knowledge of accounting principles,  
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
