Software Asset Management Service Manager
We are seeking creative and motivated individuals to further expand our Managed Services in the area of Software Asset Management (SAM). PwC SAM Managed Services offers specialized consulting and services to our national and international clients from all industries. The goal is to ensure proper and economically optimized software usage throughout the entire IT & software lifecycle.
In close coordination with our IT Consultants, Service Delivery Managers and SAM experts, you will work within our service organizations and consulting projects to support our clients with their operational and strategic license management challenges.
You will contribute to optimizing the processes and interfaces of operational software asset management operations in the course of their digitalization.
Your future role:
- Leading and coordinating the SAM Service Teams to ensure efficient and effective service delivery,
- Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, defined service standards, and processes,
- Developing and implementing measures to optimize licensing and ensure compliance,
- Creating reports and analyses to monitor service quality and identify improvement opportunities,
- Acting as a liaison between customers/business units, IT teams, and suppliers/vendors for effective communication,
- Providing guidance and support to project managers and other team members,
- Coordinating the overall Software Asset Management service,
- Supervising all service functions such as service desk, technical support, or supplier management,
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency,
- Managing the capacity of the service delivery team and ensuring proper competence levels among team members,
- Managing SLAs/KPIs execution and providing proper monitoring and reporting,
- Representing the PwC service delivery team to internal and/or external clients.
Apply if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field,
- At least 5 years of experience in IT Service Management or Software Asset Management,
- Comprehensive knowledge of Software Asset Management principles, especially licensing frameworks, usage & allocation, compliance, and cost analysis,
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills,
- Problem-solving and data analysis skills (focus on problem resolution, root cause analysis, identifying and implementing process improvements) and project management skills,
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure,
- Very good command of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of German is an advantage,
- Leadership and team management capabilities - ability to lead and manage service functions engaged in the ITSM process,
- Understanding risk management principles, experience in identifying and mitigating operational risks related to the IT maintenance and support process,
- General understanding of budgeting and cost management issues in the IT industry.

- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices,
- Proficiency in project management tools,
