We are looking for:

Scrum Master
 

Your future role:

  • Act as Scrum Master for one or multiple teams, providing a learning environment to maximize team efficiency and overall business value,
  • Facilitate all Scrum-related rituals and ceremonies (Daily Stand Up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, etc.) while maintaining all Scrum artifacts (Iteration backlog, Program Increment , etc.),
  • Challenge, coach, and guide the organization using Agile and lean principles, experimenting with processes and tools that encourage continuous improvement,
  • Facilitate the team’s progress toward team goals, continuously engaged in challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity,
  • Focus the team on daily and Iteration Goals in the context of current Program Increment (PI) Objectives,
  • Collect metrics to provide teams and the organization with relevant feedback on velocity, quality, and overall impact of our efforts,
  • Support the Product Owner in their efforts to manage the backlog and guide the team while facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope,
  • Eliminate impediments by actively addressing issues so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Iteration. Escalate when blocking issues are beyond the team’s authority or may require support from other teams,
  • Foster a collaborative environment for a high-performing team through coaching and leading with servant leadership behaviors,
  • Communicate with management and outside stakeholders, protecting the team from scope expansion and items out of their control,
  • Represent the team in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS) meeting, passing along information from that meeting back to the team. Coordinate with the System Team, User Experience, Architecture, and Shared Services Teams,
  • Facilitate preparation and readiness for ART events, assisting the team in preparation for ART activities, including PI Planning, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt.
     

Apply if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience,   
  • Experience with processes and tools supporting Agile methodologies, 
  • Preferred: 2+ years of Scrum Master experience, 
  • Knowledge of various methodologies: Lean, Kanban, Scrum/XP, 
  • Experience in client relationship and team building, 
  • Expertise in Scrum including the value and principles, and how they are applied in enterprise environments, 
  • Familiarity with modern software engineering techniques such as continuous integration, build, deliver, test-driven development and other automated acceptance testing techniques, 
  • Excellent understanding of Lean-Agile principles, metrics, and technology and/or experience with Lean Thinking, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen Leader, 
  • Strong knowledge and experience utilizing Agile management tools (e.g. Microsoft VSTS, Rally/Agile Central, JIRA, AgileCraft, and/or VersionOne), 
  • Certified SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe 4 Practitioner (SP), SAFe 4 Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), 
  • Experience working with UX (user experience) design practices in an Agile / scrum environment, 
  • Experience driving work to conclusion without constant monitoring and intervention, and delivering with consistent high quality,
  • Empowered to make decisions,
  • Experience with processes and tools supporting Agile methodologies,
  • Ability to understand technical issues,
  • Facilitation skills in planning and leading meetings, reviews and retrospectives,
  • Ability to mentor and coach the team to reach their highest potential,
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail,
  • Shows initiative by anticipating risks, issues and opportunities, and escalating them accordingly,
  • Articulate, persuasive, and comfortable interacting with all levels of people,
  • Excellent listener, outstanding facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolutions skills, and the ability to work in collaborative environments,
  • A predisposition to patience and tolerance,
  • Comfortable and articulate in challenging change management scenarios, knowing when to insert self and when to fade back,
  • Strong situational awareness of when to listen, when to be assertive, thinking beyond day-to-day activities and application of systems thinking,
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
