Tax Department in Finance Operations in the Shell Group is a key to delivering world-class tax support to Shell. With around 600 staff Finance Operations Tax is among the world's largest "in-house" tax organizations. Due to the rapid growth of our department we are currently looking for various tax individuals who will help us to become the Centre of Excellence. Job description:
The successful candidate will act as a Tax Specialist for all tax related activities within assigned countries including the following:
complete all indirect tax related accounting activities;
perform control checks to identify any errors or anomalies.
work with other financial teams to ensure that errors are properly corrected and that remedial action has been taken,
prepare and deliver timely and accurately indirect tax returns to the Indirect Tax Authorities
provide assistance for tax reviews and statutory audits purposes
perform tax balance sheet accounts analysis
Initiate ideas to improve the process
Manage excellent relationships with stakeholders
University degree preferable in Economics, Finance, Accountancy or related field
2 years’ experience in accountancy/finance
Working knowledge of ERP systems (such as SAP, SUN, JDE, Oracle, PeopleSoft) will be an advantage
Good working knowledge of Word and MS Outlook
Good knowledge of Excel
Fluent English (written and spoken)
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work under time/quality pressure
