As a Fin Crime Analyst, you will be part of our Global Compliance Assurance Team. Reporting directly to the compliance team lead. You will be responsible for the monitoring of Financial Crime, primarily market abuse and anti-money laundering.

You will be based in Krakow. We work closely with Market Makers, dealers, custodian, IT and Corporate Action teams based in London, Bangalore and Singapore.

What you’ll do

• Investigation in potential suspicious Market Abuse cases. It involves processing the alerts triggered by surveillance tool, and also the internal referrals received from IG's front office
• Conducting analysis of internal alerts to identify potential Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing risks
• Timely identifying and reporting the suspected market abuse, money laundering and terrorism financing activities to the financial regulators
• Generally assisting business operations by responding to day to day queries and assisting in the development and implementation of necessary ad hoc business changes whether regulatory or business driven
• Engaging and providing answers to front-office business representatives and local compliance officers’ inquiries

Additional activities may include:

• Preparing responses to regulatory requests or law enforcement agencies
• Assist in reviewing, creating and updating compliance procedure and manual

What you’ll need for this role 

• Bachelor Degree
• Fluency in written English is essential
• Solid understanding of Market Abuse typologies; prior experience in Market Abuse analysis is highly desirable
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets and related monitoring experience will be considered a strong asset
• Fast learner, and self-motivated team player who is able to organise tasks with sorted priorities, and work independently
• Attention to details, and have logical and analytical approach to problem solving and a willingness to be decisive when considering the right judgement in each case are essential
• Has a considered, diplomatic approach with excellent relationship and communication skills with the team, across the business and with external parties

Desirable:

• Good command of Excel
• Compliance related background is very welcome
• Command of any European languages
