Overview Of Job Function

Enterprise Sourcing Office (ESO) Onboarding Operations supports the end-to-end Source to Pay cycle including, but not limited to RF(x) process, purchasing, contracting, PO process, in addition to managing queries across the process lifecycle including invoicing and payment issues.

As a part of the ESO Operations team, this Associate, Source-to-Pay Representative role will be focused on ‘business as usual’ execution, as well as supporting the end-to-end Source to Pay process, including but not limited to creating and maintaining process guidance, developing supporting materials to introduce improved ‘self-help’ capabilities, and supporting day to day ESO operations.  In addition, this role will be required to actively support ESO HelpDesk team.

The ideal candidate has experience on one of the sub streams of Source to Pay cycle, procurement operations, supplier management, process analysis, invoice processing, helpdesk functions and query management, operational reporting and analysis and functional and operational transformation and eager to deepen his/her knowledge on any of the listed processes. In order to deliver effective support, the individual is nice to have knowledge of the supply chain processes, technology and industry best practices, and be able to quickly learn specific processes and technology in place at BNY.

The candidate must be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to work independently after training period, a strong communicator in both written and verbal form, thinking outside of the box and have a customer first mindset. The role will report to the Vice President, Source-to-Pay Manager. 

  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
  • 1-2 years of total work experience is necessary, minimum 1 year relevant to this position
  • Relevant industry experience in sourcing, procurement, contracting, operations, or finance 
  • Experience in transformation projects will be advantageous
  • Good knowledge on finance system (SAP, Oracle) and basic knowledge in accounting
  • Good knowledge of procurement systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP Ariba, Ivalua) will be a nice to have
  • Knowledge of Contract management tool will be advantageous, but not essential
  • Good analytical skills, along with sound judgement and critical thinking 
  • Able to effectively communicate with different types of stakeholders at different levels
