We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Fund/Client Accounting to join our Global Institutional Accounting team. This role is located in Wroclaw, Poland – HYBRID.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Completing activities related to the accurate and timely delivery of services on behalf of assigned clients which includes but is not limited to determining NAV, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, clearing exceptions, or preparing supportive reports.
- Conducting analysis of cash and asset reconciliations for clients' collective investment portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate delivery in accordance with established timetables and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and escalation point for complex situations and ensuring that they are resolved successfully.
- Supporting more junior team members and being responsible for assigning their workload and monitoring the timeliness and accuracy of its completion.
- Assisting Team Manager in identifying and streamlining business operations, which will include enhancing controls by standardizing relevant business processes, overseeing and monitoring activities to ensure quality and accuracy of data, and supporting key business programs that will drive greater operational efficiencies and superior client service.
- Collaborating with supervisors and managers of other groups within the firm to evaluate issues and devise improvement strategies.
- Regularly interacts with clients and internal stakeholders in answering questions and resolving issues regarding fund reports and accounting processes.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience (5+ years of total experience preferred).
- Previous work experience in Banking Operations (FA, Reconciliation, etc.) is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of the different securities available in the market – bonds, equities, derivatives – as well as various market events (e.g. corporate actions).
- Proficiency in use of MS Excel (pivots, formulas, etc.) with the ability to quickly learn other applications. Knowledge of SQL would be an asset.
- Analytical skills with a proven track record of working with comprehensive financial/numerical data. Experience working with large and complex databases and an ability to understand how they function/interact will be preferred.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills (English min. B2/C1 level).
