For our Client, a production company, with over 10 production plants within the EMEA region, we are looking for a Chief Accountant responsible for a plant in France. The main duty of the person in this position will be full responsibility for the tax and statutory issues of the entrusted production plant. The company's headquarters is in Krakow (remote work is possible).

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in accounting and a minimum 2 years of experience as Chief Accountant or General Ledger Manager,
- higher education in a relevant field (finance, accounting, economics),
- perfect knowledge of legal & regulatory issues,
- experience in an international manufacturing company would be a plus,
- knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems will be an advantage,
- fluent in both English and French (C1) is a must,
- supporting decisions and influencing business counterparts.
Responsibilities
- support local statutory & compliance including VAT returns, payroll, tax returns and other local submissions,
- ongoing cooperation with local tax advisors and financial controllers,
- verification and preparation of CIT and VAT tax returns,
- ensure accurate and timely financial reporting under group IFRS standards,
- direct contact with business located in France,
- preparation of internal and external financial reports for the Management and external institutions,
cooperation with SSC structures and regional entities, - control of documents, timely reporting following group standards,
- provides input to judgment journals required during the period-end process,
- ensure period-end processes are executed in a timely and accurate manner.
