YOUR ROLE

This role includes clarification of technical questions, conducting price negotiations, carrying out price assessments and payment target negotiations, preparation, and initiation of cross-location benchmarks in cooperation with the headquarters, including monitoring.

YOUR TASKS

• Creating requests based on a range of suppliers provided by Client and a technical specification describing the product.
• Clarification of technical queries with supplier and requester, if necessary, also delivery situation (deadline situation).
• Supplier selection based on price and delivery date.
• Negotiation of price and payment terms to bring financial and not-financial benefits.
• Carrying out competitive comparisons of specified product groups e.g., product groups, V-belts etc.
• Maintaining strong working relationships with our client, suppliers, and the team.
• Understanding and driving adoption of procurement policies and processes.
• Continually striving to identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and improve processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness and cost saving of purchasing.

YOUR PROFILE

• Very good written and spoken German and English.
• Proven purchasing experience (min. 5 years).
• Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
• Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Analytical, with strong proven problem-solving abilities
• Proactive attitude approach and results oriented attitude.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. SAP, Ariba or any other sourcing systems will be an asset.
