What is GSS FATCA & CRS Oversight (FCO)Team responsible for?
The GSS department provides back-office support and oversight for the International Franklin Templeton, including our UK, Ireland and Luxembourg domiciled fund ranges. In line with the Franklin Templeton Code of Conduct, ensuring the highest standards of honest conduct and business ethics in all aspects of business activities, the team support the organisation by performing oversight assurance of outsourced service providers, Stakeholder support, and Product/Change Management. Franklin Templeton participates in the Automated Exchange of Information (AEoI) following the implementation of FATCA (US) and CRS (Rest of World) reporting required to assist the ability to combat tax evasion and money laundering. The FCO team focus on the implementation of Franklin Templeton FATCA & CRS policy both by the organisation, outsourced Transfer Agents (TA) and additional third parties.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of Senior Analyst - FATCA & CRS Oversight?
Senior Analysts will be responsible for the oversight and monitoring of vendors, documenting controls, policies, & procedures, conducting partner assessments, maintaining databases of reporting entities, prepare communications to various boards, and implement rule changes with multiple partners. Senior Analysts perform analysis of data in preparation for annual submissions and provide subject matter expertise to the business to assist with responses to various local Tax Authorities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Oversight on vendors
- Maintain GSS policies and procedures on FATCA & CRS Governance
- Assist with reporting of data to various internal stakeholders
- Implement rule changes with third parties
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- Has experience working with external vendors, preferably Transfer Agents or Tax Advisers
- Has working knowledge of AEoI reporting, including FATCA & CRS regulation
- Has experience working with multiple jurisdictions, preferably across APAC, EMEA & Americas
- Process driven, with ability to communicate effectively. Team player with excellent organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Has strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Proficient in MS Office
- Automation tools such as VBA Macros or Power Automate will be a plus
