Your role and responsibilities

You will develop and implement people strategy through the execution of HR processes, ensuring effective and sustainable workplace relations, and providing HR support for Region Northern and Eastern Europe Machine Automation – B&R, by partnering with respective managers.
The individual will report to the Regional Managing Director for Northern and Eastern Europe and will be preferably based in Sweden or Denmark, with Poland or the Benelux countries as a secondary preference.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Understands and contributes to the overall business and people strategy.
  • Takes accountability for the overall HR contribution and value-add to the business in partnership with the functions, stakeholders in the region and Shared Services.
  • Determines and delivers the best approach in the area of responsibility and executes the HR priorities while adding value to the business.
  • Ensures effective communication, engagement, and collaboration across the organization.
  • Facilitates the change management initiatives and drives behavior change & continuous improvement across the respective business area / area of responsibility.
  • Supports the business and the execution of HR processes involved across the end-to-end employee lifecycle.
  • Develops a pro-active relationship with the country level responsible HR-team.
  • Partners with respective managers to develop and implement people strategies.
  • Coaches, motivates, and develops talent to build an effective, capable, and high-performing team.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to ensure that the Region Northern and Eastern Europe Machine Automation – B&R is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed.
  • Represents HR in the business and establishes strong relationships with all business leaders and employees.
  • Ensures compliance with legislation, HR policies, and other compliance standards in all areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures all employees understand the ABB safety and integrity standards and follow the same strictly.

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Human Sciences, Human Resources Management, Psychology, Sociology or similar.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • Experience with M&A is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in European employment laws and union relations.
  • Strong leadership, self-driven, result orientation and change management attitude are required.
  • Hands-on and pragmatic attitude.
  • The ability to manage multiple demands on your time and to work in cross-functional teams.
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • English fluent required.
  • Flexibility to travel within the region and HQ in Austria.
