Your role and responsibilities:

Act as a Global R&D Financial Analyst for the Electrification Business Technology Management Team. Drive definition, implementation and follow-up of standards, business specific reports and guidelines in financial and R&D control processes. Responsible for R&D operations on behalf of the Divisions within Electrification Business Area. Coordinate and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting as well as analyze the R&D development for each site and Division. Participate in developing and optimizing R&D processes, related BI (Business Intelligence) and applications (e.g. NORRD/Life) and the achievement of the financial and operational R&D targets of each of the Divisions within Electrification Business Area. Support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data.

Preferred Location are India or Poland.

• Actively participate in the total non-order related R&D reporting of EL Business Area and its Divisions.
• Support Technology Managers in preparing budget, forecast and follow-up on actuals as a Global R&D Financial Analyst.
• Coordinate and prepare analysis related to actual R&D performance and KPIs versus budget and forecast (e.g. on-cost, on-time, on-specification, risks).
• Guide local R&D controllers in dealing with R&D Reporting. Participate in deployment of guidelines and common R&D processes in Local Product Groups (LPGs).
• Manage Technology License Fees, including calculation and side reporting of the LPGs and invoicing through GBS (Finance & Accounting Organization (FAO)).
• Participate in audits of R&D costs in LPGs (in collaboration with Internal Audit) and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Implement and ensure compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.
• Adhere to changing needs with regards to R&D portfolio and financial analysis by timely providing high-quality reports and analysis.
• Support the Global R&D Controller Electrification Business. Coach R&D Site Managers, Product Group Technology Managers and Project Managers regarding finance, accounting and project reporting.

Qualifications for the role:

• Master's degree in economics, business administration, finance, or accounting
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Controlling and Financial Analysis
• Excellent knowledge of International Accounting Standards and ABB internal management reporting and planning processes.
• Well experienced with standard ABB reporting and analysis tools such as CFIN (Central Finance), ABACUS Analyzer, ATLAS, SAP (CO, SD, PS), & TM1. Experienced user of MS Office suite, especially Excel and Power BI.
• Hands-on mentality and the ability to work independently and proactively
• Ability to multitask and work with multiple stakeholders from different function/business
• Fluent in English, other languages an asset
