AP Senior Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead financial processes and transactions to optimize financial performance within the factory/site. Each day, you will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending the most appropriate business solutions.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Clearing detailed view of Procure to Pay process and related IT systems
• Leading a functional work team within Accounts Payable focused on the complete, accurate, and timely completion of accounting transactions
• Fully managing human resource planning, selection, development, periodic performance review of team members (team size 5-6 employees) and creating learning atmosphere among team members
• Ensuring Key Performance Indicators are met with the pre-defined objectives
• Acting as point of contact for all process/people related escalations
• Ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and procedures developing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies, including Accounts Payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
• Acting as the point of contact for external, internal and SOX audits and leading the internal control over Financial Reporting compliance and reporting for Accounts Payable testing
• Defining tasks to ensure delivery of services to assigned business partners in accordance with Service Level Agreements
• Identifying, recommending and assisting in implementation of best practices to gain efficiency and drive productivity gains across the region/global
• Defining prevention actions and set up adequate procedures to eliminate potential defects (continuous improvement)

Qualifications for the role

• You are highly skilled in Accounts Payable and have at least 5 years of experience in the Finance function, with a minimum of 3 years in a relevant role.
• Your expertise extends to Finance Shared Services for a global company, which is a strong advantage.
• You possess a deep understanding of Accounts Payable, financial accounting, and reporting. Additionally, your communication skills are excellent, and you excel in team handling and delegation.
• You excel in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, and have experience with ERP systems.
• You approach stakeholder management collaboratively and can resolve conflicts effectively.
• Multitasking, prioritization, and fostering a learning atmosphere among team members come naturally to you.
• Proficiency in business English is a given, and communicative Italian would be an asset.
• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
