PwC Poland’s FCU Process team comprises over 50 members. We support clients in the financial service industry in their operations in an increasingly challenging financial environment – global economic uncertainty, ramped-up regulatory requirements, and unprecedented operational and technological headwinds. We help clients transform their anti-money laundering (“AML”) system by implementing strategies meant to reduce operational complexity through streamlining processes, optimization of technology, and efficient use of resources. The process stream we offer helps our clients re-imagine “what is possible” and build sustainable AML functions that can be adapted to the requirements of specific financial service industries.

We are looking for:

AML Process Improvement Manager

Your future role:

  • Independently lead and manage client engagements and internal initiatives, e.g. analyze complex ideas or proposals and provide a range of meaningful recommendations, engage a variety of stakeholders to develop appropriate solutions and perspectives, ensure the timeliness and quality of deliverables, identify opportunities to add value to our Client by promoting new ideas and services.
  • Drive and coordinate process improvement and continuous improvement activities of the large scale operational teams working in the managed service space, i.e. process design, mapping, identification of areas for optimization, calculation of benefits, design and implementation of process changes, process measurement, drive year on year savings, manage process change,etc.
  • Apply continuous improvement and process excellence best practices, i.e. lean, agile or/and six sigma on the projects or internal initiatives
  • Continued learning and development in the subject matter of financial services, e.g. understanding the impact of changes to regulations, forming a perspective on how institutions respond, what constitutes ‘best practice’ in relation to policies, procedures, operating models, technology, etc.
  • Active participation in the global PwC network, e.g. build a collaborative network with other PwC member firms in order to share knowledge and provide a truly global perspective for our Clients.
  • Invest in the development of others through mentoring and coaching, e.g. recognise others’ strengths and development areas, and help them to realize their full potential in a positive and supportive environment.
  • This role is available in our offices in Gdańsk or Warsaw although there is also opportunity for business travel, subject to the Client engagement or project.

Apply if you have:

  • Previous experience (5+ years), preferably in financial services at a global financial institution, regulatory agency, or a leading consulting firm.
  • In-depth understanding of the financial services industry (e.g. business and operating models, products and services; culture and communication style, operations delivery excellence).
  • Significant experience in process related activities and applying process improvement methodologies, i.e. building target operating models, establishing & optimizing processes, deploying automated solutions, calculating benefits of the process improvements, process change design, implementation and management, designing and implementing process tools (e.g. process maps, procedures, quality control, time & motion exercises, capacity models, management reporting, change management, etc.).
  • Experience in engaging key stakeholders to provide frequent status updates with the ability to resolve or appropriately escalate issues.
  • Extensive experience in project and team management, with a proven track record of being end-to-end responsible for the entire process. A self-starter who is adept at utilizing a wide array of tools and techniques to deliver decisive and practical solutions.

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in a consulting role with client exposure, preferably in a leading consulting firm
  • Previous experience in regulatory/AML remediation projects or projects from the area of financial services or managed services will be considered as an asset for this role
  • Process improvement industry recognized certificates, i.e. lean, six sigma, agile or other.
