YOUR CLIENT

You will join a leading public sector organization that manages and develops the railway infrastructure, overseeing 20,000 miles of track, complex signaling systems, and over 40,000 bridges and tunnels. They ensure safety and reliability through continuous maintenance, modernization, and emergency response. The Client key responsibilities include coordinating train schedules and managing major stations. Their projects, such as high-speed rail and electrification, drive network efficiency and sustainability, funded by government grants and revenue from access charges.

YOUR TASKS

• Conduct thorough analysis of the existing geospatial system used for linear asset data within a large Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) organization
• Evaluate the geospatial data currently loaded into and regularly extracted from the system, ensuring accuracy and relevance
• Examine the processes involved in extracting data of interconnected systems, identifying any inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document the requirements for a potential future replacement of the current geospatial system
• Based on the analysis of the existing system and future needs, develop and propose strategic recommendations for enhancing or replacing the geospatial system
• Work closely with a team of specialists and the client to ensure a comprehensive review and successful project outcome
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation outlining findings, recommendations, and strategic plans for system improvements
• Ability to travel to the client office

YOUR PROFILE

• 8+ Years of GIS Solution implementation using Esri, Microsoft and Oracle technologies
• 5+ Years of experience in Enterprise GIS Systems design, integration and management
• Hands on GIS data processing experience in loading data into Esri GIS solution using FME
• Knowledge of the latest geoprocessing tools within the Esri Product
• Geospatial data concepts including vector, raster, attributes, and metadata
• Esri products such as Enterprise Portal and Server
• Geodatabase technology awareness
• Geospatial Data processing expertise
• Oracle database expertise
• ArcGIS Desktop for analysis and data processing
