This position reports to

General Accounting Team Leader for Emobility

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for providing reliable and timely financial reporting in order to support ABB Emobility Group management, and other stakeholders at various organization levels, in decision making processes. You will perform daily tasks and monthend close activities, in order to deliver target KPIs, relevant reporting and analytics.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performing daily complex accounting, reporting and analytics tasks, acting as control performer for internal controls for respective General Accounting areas.
• Executing established accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with ABB group policies and local instructions.
• Performing quality checks on financial reporting data submitted by the units, including analytical review of major fluctuations, and liaising with internal and external auditors on accounting and reporting issues.
• Conducting investigations and reconciliation of accounting transaction, as necessary, and facilitating the resolution of accounting and reporting issues.
• Assisting in developing and implementing processes and procedures an participating in global process improvements
• Supporting the development of more junior colleagues by acting as SME for the assigned area and fostering knowledge sharing

Qualifications for the role

• Minimum 5 years of experience in General Accounting (General Ledger/Financial Reporting)
• Practical knowledge of an ERP system (SAP, S4Hanna) and exposure to Accounting tools (SmartView, Hyperion) is a strong plus
• Strong user knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (functions, pivot table)
• Advanced understanding of General Ledger, financial accounting, reporting, controlling, internal control or investment
• Proficiency in business English
• Ability to build and share knowledge in the team and across teams
• Problem solving attitude and very good organization and coordination skills
