The Client is a global visual inspiration social media platform used by people around the world to discover and personalize visual content.

Today, more than 450 million people come to the platform every month to explore and experience billions of ideas that have been saved.

About the project:

The Project is all about large-scale Data processing. You will work on one of the world's largest social media platform which deals with a few petabytes of data coming to the system daily. This project consists in creating, optimizing, and maintaining distributed storage solutions that are scalable, reliable, and high-performing. As a Distributed Storage Systems Developer, your role is critical in ensuring that the organization's data storage needs are met efficiently and effectively.

About the team:

The Team is an international one; all team members are divided into Scrum teams consisting of 5-7 people. You will contribute as part of R&D self-organized team working in a challenging, innovative environment for our client.

Your future tasks:

• Design distributed storage solutions and ensure its reliability;
• Implement the designed solutions using C++ and Java technologies;
• Optimize performance and scalability of the systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams;
• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

Our Requirements:

• Extensive experience with Distributed Storage Systems (preferably HBase, Apache Druid, Apache Cassandra)
• Extensive Java and/or C++ coding skills (fluency in one, basics of the second will be enough)
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new programming languages as required by project demands;
• Upper-intermediate level English (spoken & written)

Nice to have:

• Python
• AWS or K8S.
